On behalf of South African Tourism, Time Out created a 360-degree campaign to encourage our audiences in two of our largest hubs, New York and Los Angeles, to explore the wonders of traveling to South Africa. The campaign included traditional media, social media, and two live events.
These “Passport to South Africa” events hosted in NYC and LA brought to life the diversity of the rainbow nation with pop-up experiences showcasing the country’s beautiful destinations of Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Safari. With authentic South African partners, including world-renowned South African born trumpeter Lesedi Ntsane representing Joburg’s The Orbit Jazz Bistro, Wines of South Africa profiling the Stellenbosch region, and Chef Hugo Uys serving regional delicacies, Time Out’s audience of adventure seekers experienced the sounds, sips, and sweets of this bucket list destination first-hand.
